India accounts for over 90% of the world's guar supply — and Gujarat sits at the heart of it. Astral Tradelink sources and exports premium ETO-free guar gum powder and splits to industries across 13+ countries, backed by rigorous microbiological testing and full documentation compliance.
Guar gum is a natural polysaccharide extracted from the endosperm of the guar bean (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba), a legume cultivated primarily in the arid regions of India and Pakistan. Through an advanced process of de-husking, screening, milling and pulverisation, refined guar powder is obtained with viscosities up to eight times greater than corn starch.
As a natural polymer with outstanding water-solubility, emulsification, thickening, texturisation and stabilisation properties, it has become indispensable across food, pharmaceutical, industrial and cosmetic sectors worldwide.
"Guar gum can hydrate quickly in cold water without heat, form a highly viscous solution at low concentrations, and resist breakdown in acidic conditions — making it uniquely versatile."
Premium quality ETO-free guar gum processed to the highest food safety standards. Odourless, tasteless and off-white in colour — ideal for sauces, bakery, dairy, beverages and pharmaceutical tablet manufacture. Viscosity: 3,500–7,000 cps. Mesh: 200.
High-viscosity grade formulated for oil drilling, paper, textile, mining and construction applications. Superior hydration rate and exceptional stability at elevated temperatures. Particle size: 100–200 mesh. Moisture: <12%.
Specially processed for rapid dispersion and hydration in cold water. Achieves full viscosity development within minutes — preferred in beverage, instant food and personal care applications where processing time is critical.
The primary raw material for guar gum powder manufacture. Produced by de-husking whole guar seeds and separating the endosperm halves. High endosperm content (>82%), low fibre — the preferred feedstock for gum manufacturers globally.
Ultra-refined, fine-mesh grade (300+ mesh) formulated for use in body lotions, shampoos, conditioners and skincare products. Acts as a natural thickener and film-former — an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic polymers.
Specially tested and certified grade for use in pet food and animal feed. Acts as a binder, thickener and texture enhancer. Improves shelf life, reduces moisture loss in storage and improves the palatability of wet pet food formulations.
Provides viscosities up to 8× that of corn starch and 2× that of wheat flour at equivalent concentrations. Effective at very low usage levels (typically 0.1–1%).
Uniquely hydrates and swells in cold water without requiring heat — forming high-viscosity solutions instantly.
Maintains viscosity under low pH conditions found in most beverages and acidic food products. Resistant to salt and mineral ions.
Prevents ice crystal growth in frozen products, stabilises emulsions and controls syneresis in dairy products.
